FIONA WHELAN
Principal

Fiona is former pupil of Tagoat herself, and it’s current Principal. A graduate of St. Patrick’s College of Education, and has a post-graduate diploma in Management in Education. Fiona teaches our First and Second class.

ANNIE BRESLIN
Vice-Principal

Annie, a Dublin native, is our vice-principal, Nurture Room teacher and a graduate of St. Patrick’s College of Education.

You might often see Annie gracing the stage with Oyster Lane, and she brings that energy back to the school.

DEIRDRE DOHENY
Secretary and
Special Needs Assistant

Deirdre, a proud, native Dub, is our longest serving member of staff – she’s the first point of contact as our School Secretary and is a Special Needs Assistant within the Nurture Room.

Anyone that knows her knows that she’s animal mad and loves nothing more than an auld sing-song with the school choir. Deirdre helps Damien with our Green Schools initative.

PAUL O’KEEFE
Special Education Teacher

Paul is our Special Education teacher and a graduate of Carysfort College of Education, with a post-graduate diploma in Management of Education. He’s recently qualified as a play therapist. Paul is also our IT Co-Ordinator.

DAMIEN PITT
Class Teacher

Damien, from Murrintown, is a latecomer (but very welcome addition!) to the teaching profession after a career in Irish Life. He studied in Marino and is our Fifth and Sixth Class teacher. He’s our resident Sports fanatic and loves nothing more than getting the kids active. Damien is also our Green Schools Co-Ordinator.

MARY DELANEY
Class Teacher

Mary, originally a Midlander, is our Junior and Senior Infants teacher. She’s a graduate of St. Pats and holds a Masters in Special Education. Mary, like Damien, loves nothing more than being on the edge of a pitch. She’s our Camogie girls biggest champion.

NUALA MEYLER
Special Needs Assistant

Nuala is from Glynn and is one of our Special Needs Assistants. Nuala loves gardening, and instills strong planting and growing values and skills to the children.

CAROLINE FURLONG
Class Teacher

Caroline became a teacher after a successful career in hospitality. She is our Third and Fourth Class teacher. Caroline is our Active Schools and Hurling 365 coordinator.

TRISHA CLEARY
Special Needs Assistant

Trish, a Tagoat native and past-pupil, is one of our Special Needs Assistants. She joined us after a long, successful career in early childhood education.
